Park Shark

Above are a few pictures of the Park Shark flying as well as a shot of the kit contents (minus the template,  and instructions) .  The Park Shark is a slow flyer suitable for Park and or Indoor Flying.  It is a great trainer and a very easy relaxed flyer.  It's constructed of DOW Bluecore foam (a.k.a. FanFoldFoam).  This is a light weight, durable foam that is easy to work with.  All the parts (except the wing) are CNC Hot wire cut, the wing slot/gear hole in the fuse are cut out with a hand held hot wire using jigs.  The wing panels are oven baked to add strength and lock in the under cambered airfoil, then the main panel and wing tips are cut out using templates, the dihedral angles are also pre-cut via a custom jig.  The kit comes complete with two laser cut control horns and a fully illustrated 22 page instruction/assembly manual.  The instructions are also downloadable for free on the "Downloads" page.

The nose if made of sandwiched together pieces that make it very strong and simple to build.  The IPS drive is easily replaced if/when the motor burns out.  The wing is removable and held in place with rubber bands.  This greatly aids in storage and transportation.  Fun to fly in up to 8 mph winds.  Loops, wing overs, and power off gliding are a blast!  No matter how many planes I fly, I always come back to and have a great time with my Park Shark.
